The Steiner family came from Prussia to the United States. Mathias Steiner came over with his new wife, Anna Maria Magdelena, whose name changes throughout her records. Anna was a duchess, she was the grandchild to the King of Prussia, whom I believe was Frederick III. This may not even be the correct name. Throughout the family history records, she met Mathias Steiner, which was her French Tutor. She fell deeply in love with him and her family despised of the marriage due to the fact that she was of royalty. She eloped to the United States with Mathias and his family. They settled down in Muskegon, Michigan. The entire Steiner family is buried in Oakwood Cemetary along side one another.
